Organised by what you are building, not by how the code is wired. New components land daily this week.
Use it with your agent
Copy, paste, or let your agent install it
goodtabs UI is a shadcn registry. Anything that runs the shadcn CLI can find and add components, and every page is written for agents as well as people.
- One command. The source lands in your repo, no runtime dependency, nothing to update later.
- Every page has a markdown twin at /components/[name]/prompt.md with usage, props and the gotchas.
- Theme tokens only, so what your agent installs matches what you already have.
- A goodtabs MCP server and agent skill are coming in week 2.
$ npx shadcn@latest add https://ui.goodtabs.co/r/copy-button.json ✔ Checking registry. ✔ Installing dependencies. ✔ Created 2 files: - components/ui/copy-button.tsx - components/ui/button.tsx

Why a curated set
Generated UI, or UI someone chose
Agents are good at wiring. They are not good at taste. goodtabs UI gives them pieces that already look right, so you spend your tokens on the product.
Generated from scratch
- A different look every time you regenerate
- Hours in the prompt, review and fix loop
- Hard-coded colours that fight your theme
- Accessibility as an afterthought
- Props the model made up, state that breaks on the second click
With goodtabs UI
- One look across every component, picked by a person
- One command and the source is in your repo
- Theme tokens only, light and dark from day one
- Keyboard, focus, contrast and reduced motion checked before it ships
- Usage, props and agent notes on every page
FAQ
Questions, answered
- What is goodtabs UI?
- A free library of shadcn components in one calm, production-grade look. Each one is chosen and reviewed by a person, ships as source into your project, and reads only your theme tokens.
- How is it different from shadcn/ui?
- shadcn/ui gives you primitives. goodtabs UI gives you composed pieces built on those primitives, such as a confirm dialog with a pending state or a table with sorting, that share one look. It installs through the same CLI.
- Does it work with my theme?
- Yes. Components use the standard shadcn token names, so they take on whatever values your project defines for background, foreground, primary, muted, border and radius, in light and dark.
- What do I need?
- A React project with Tailwind CSS v4 and shadcn initialised. Next.js is what we build on, but anything the shadcn CLI supports works.
